Residential construction experience
Our experience includes 1920s Craftsmans, Eichlers and Mackays, 1950s bungalows, newer homes, and new construction. We have worked in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Los Altos, and Mountain View.
What we look for in a home
Our building experience, including our own SB 9 project in Palo Alto, gives us an interest in both construction details and how a finished home works for the people living in it.
- Layout and cabinetry. Storage, circulation, appliance clearances, and usable work surfaces.
- Light and finishes. Sight lines, lighting, material selection, and installation details.
- Building performance. Acoustics, ventilation, air quality, and energy use.
- Material choices. Durability, maintenance, and low-toxin finishes.
Managing the work
Construction involves changes and decisions throughout the project. Written scopes, cost reviews, schedules, and documented decisions give the homeowner a way to follow the work and understand its implications. Read more about how we work together.
Our role on your project
As your owner’s representative, PACM coordinates with your architect and builder, reviews budgets and schedules, and reports on construction progress. We agree the scope and responsibilities with you before starting. Learn about owner’s representation.
For selected projects, PACM also acts as the general contractor, taking responsibility for construction under a building contract. Our construction pages describe the work that supports our experience as owner’s representatives.
Licensed, bonded, and insured
